Malika Khakimova served a Visiting Junior Fellow at the Institute for Advanced International Studies (IAIS) in 2024, when she contributed to interdisciplinary research on economic development and regional cooperation. As a senior at New York University Abu Dhabi, majoring in Economics, she enhances her academic foundation with practical experience. She interned as an Economic Diplomacy and Sustainable Development Junior Research Intern at IAIS, collaborating with senior fellows, organizing conferences and co-authoring policy briefs and research papers. Beyond IAIS, Malika has taken on roles such as Social Media & Newsletter Assistant for NYUAD’s Arabic department and most recently joined Amazon as an Intern in June 2025.
