The Center for Energy Diplomacy and Geopolitics is pleased to announce an upcoming session of Frontier Talks, which will provide a timely platform for examining the growing strategic significance of nuclear energy in regional and global affairs.
Against the backdrop of shifting energy priorities and intensifying geopolitical competition, the discussion will focus on the role of nuclear power in shaping contemporary diplomacy, national development strategies, and long-term energy security.
The session will feature presentations by Mr. Dilshod Olimov, Head of the Center for Energy Diplomacy and Geopolitics at IAIS, PhD Researcher at UWED, and Mr. Shokhmirzo Umarov, Specialist at the “Uzatom” Agency and alumnus of the National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI” and the KEPCO International Nuclear Nonproliferation and Security Academy in the Republic of Korea.
Drawing on both academic and professional expertise, the speakers will address key issues related to the construction of Uzbekistan’s first nuclear power plant, the major outcomes of the 2026 Paris Nuclear Summit, and the broader geopolitical implications of the expanding role of nuclear energy.
