On 15 May, the official presentation of Islomkhon Gafarov’s next work — the book “President Harry S. Truman: Decision Making Time” (“Prezident Garri S. Trumen: Qaror qabul qilish vaqti”) in Uzbek language will be held. The event will be an important event for researchers, students and the general public interested in political history, international relations and leadership theory.

The new work deeply analyses the activities of the 33rd President of the United States, Harry S. Truman, and provides a scientifically grounded assessment of his important foreign and domestic policy decisions in the post-World War II period. In particular, his role in such historical events as the Truman Doctrine, the Korean War, the creation of NATO, the use of the atomic bomb, and the consequences of these decisions for international politics are covered in detail.

In addition, in his book, Islomkhon Gafarov has analyzed such topical issues as decision-making mechanisms, leader's responsibility and leadership qualities under historical conditions. Through the prism of Truman's personality, his political views and activities in a complex geopolitical environment, the author offers a new perspective on important turning points of the 20th century.

This presentation is an important scholarly discussion on the topics of historical leadership and responsibility in international politics. The participating experts emphasize that this book is important not only for the study of Truman's activities, but also for understanding contemporary concepts of leadership.
