The Institute for Advanced International Studies is pleased to invite students, researchers, and policy professionals to the next session of Frontier Talks featuring Dr. Kelle J. Barfield, an esteemed U.S. expert in nuclear energy stakeholder engagement.
With more than 38 years of professional experience in the nuclear energy sector, Dr. Barfield has worked with major institutions including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Sandia National Laboratory, the Civilian Research and Development Foundation, and Entergy Corporation. Her presentation will explore the topic of nuclear energy and building nuclear infrastructure along with stakeholders.
She will discuss the essential elements of establishing national nuclear energy programs, the importance of public communication and trust, and the role of international cooperation. In addition, Dr. Barfield will share insights from her distinguished career path in nuclear stakeholder engagement across the United States and international organizations.
