Hamza Boltaev took part in an online discussion organised by the Center for Strategic & Regional Studies (CSRS), Kabul, Afghanistan. The webinar, held on 15 December, focused on the recent tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan and their wider regional implications.

During the discussion, he delivered remarks on the evolving dynamics of cross-border relations and the economic consequences of heightened political frictions. Particular attention was devoted to the closure and disruption of trade routes with Pakistan, as well as the resulting pressures on supply chains and market access for Afghanistan.

The participants also explored the implications for trade corridors towards Central Asia, assessing how changes in border regimes and transit reliability may affect regional connectivity, commerce, and the prospects for diversified transport routes. The discussion highlighted the importance of sustained expert-level engagement to identify pragmatic options for stabilising trade flows and supporting broader regional cooperation.
